Whether you're doing your own end-of-lease clean or checking the work of a professional bond cleaner, this room-by-room checklist covers the areas Perth property managers inspect most thoroughly. Use it to ensure nothing is missed before the final inspection.

Kitchen

• Oven: interior, racks, door glass (inside and out), exterior surfaces
• Cooktop: all burners, surrounding surfaces, control knobs
• Rangehood: filter (cleaned or replaced), grease residue, exterior
• Dishwasher: interior, filter, door seals, exterior
• Microwave: interior, exterior, door seals
• Refrigerator space: clean behind and underneath, wall and floor marks
• All cupboards: interior and exterior surfaces, handles
• Benchtops and splashback: grease, stains, limescale
• Sink and taps: limescale, water marks
• Exhaust fan covers

Bathrooms and Toilets

• Shower recess: tiles (including grout), screen or curtain, rose, taps
• Bath: entire interior, taps, surrounding tiles
• Vanity: basin, taps, cabinet interior and exterior, mirror
• Toilet: bowl, seat (both sides), cistern, behind and base of toilet
• Exhaust fan cover
• Towel rails and accessories
• Floors and grout between floor tiles

Bedrooms and Living Areas

• Walls: spot clean marks, scuffs, stickers
• Skirting boards: dust and marks throughout
• Light fittings: remove and clean globes, covers
• Ceiling fans: blades front and back
• Built-in wardrobes: interior shelves, rails, floor, exterior doors
• Doors: both sides, top edge, handles, hinges
• Window sills, tracks, and locks
• Blinds or curtains (check lease requirements)
• Power points and light switches
• Floors: vacuum and mop throughout
• Carpets: professional steam clean required in most leases

Windows and Glass

• Interior window glass — all rooms
• Sliding door tracks and rollers
• Fly screens — wipe down both sides
• External windows (may require additional cost if upper level)

Laundry

• Trough: interior and taps
• Washing machine recess: floor and walls
• Dryer vent
