How we source listings, verify businesses, handle reviews — and why our rankings can't be bought.
LocalPerth lists local businesses across the Perth metro area and surrounds. Listings come from two places: publicly available business information, and businesses that submit or claim their own listing. We aim for accuracy, and any business can claim its listing free to verify and update the details.
When a business claims its listing, it confirms the details are accurate and can add services, hours and a description. Claimed listings show a Verified badge. If you spot something wrong on any listing, email us and we'll correct or remove it.
Reviews are written by real people and moderated before they appear. We don't publish fake, incentivised or anonymous-abuse reviews, and businesses can't pay to remove genuine ones. Ratings shown are the honest average of approved reviews.
This is the important one: a business cannot pay us to rank higher in a category or search. Listings are ordered editorially and by relevance — not by who paid. If we introduce paid featured placements in future, they'll be clearly labelled as such and kept separate from the genuine results.
We only display business contact information that is already public. If you own a business and want your listing edited or removed, just contact us and we'll action it promptly. Same for correcting any inaccurate detail.
